On behalf of the AboutFace Board of Directors, I am sharing with you that on August 1, 2023, Danielle Griffin tendered her resignation, as she is moving on from AboutFace for a strategic role in a new area.

Danielle joined AboutFace as Executive Director at a critical time in our history. During her more than six-year tenure, the organization has grown eightfold in direct service support and now reaches millions worldwide through our public awareness campaigns and best-in-class psychosocial resources. Under her leadership, AboutFace has evolved to become a national organization with a renewed mission and purpose that centers on ensuring facial difference community members are supported in every aspect of their lives while addressing systemic barriers in communities, schools, workplaces, and beyond.

Danielle developed an exceptional team of committed staff, volunteers, and supporters during her time with AboutFace, and focused on elevating the organization’s programs, services, resources, and awareness campaigns.

Danielle has been supporting the transition during this time, ensuring a strong succession plan. We look forward to announcing the new leadership that will continue this steady stewardship and advancement of our vision.

The changes take effect on September 12.
