A gift of publicly traded marketable securities is a tax effective way to donate to AboutFace.  When you donate stocks, bonds or mutual fund shares you pay no capital gains tax on the appreciated value. A gift of marketable securities to AboutFace is almost as simple as a cash donation, and comes with the enhanced benefit of allowing you to receive a tax receipt for the value of the security without having to pay tax on its gain.
