AboutFace Leadership Expedition offers programs for our young adult membership based on the same underlying principles as camp trailblazers (enhance confidence and esteem by overcoming new challenges, step out of comfort zone in safe environment, socialize with others who share the same social struggles) and to provide concrete leadership training so that our participants can return to camp trailblazers as volunteer counsellors.

"As part of the first ever AF Leadership Expedition I feel like I helped pioneer a worthwhile new program for AboutFace. It was a wonderful 5 days during which I could distinctly see people grow into a more leading role, taking charge to get things done with needed. Not only did we learn a lot, canoe, portage, prepare our own food/water, and carry all our gear, but also got a close look at nature, including seeing beavers, moose, loons and many more animals.  Everyone pitched in to help out their fellow campers whenever help was needed, making a very nice, enjoyable week in the wilderness.
